Please Welcome North Point Community Church

We are pleased and excited to welcome North Point Community Church of Columbia, SC as a new partnering church with Alex’s House!

The pastor at North Point, John Sharp, has known Bill Howard for about 12 years and has seen him serve the Lord faithfully through a local Lexington church during that time. Because of the relationship and trust between John and Bill and their churches, there was an easy transition to partnering Alex’s House Orphanage with the people of North Point. Once John personally saw the awesome work being done in Haiti he believed God had assembled a great team of American and Haitian partners.

While in Haiti, John’s most unforgettable memory was the hugs and smiles of the kids from Alex’s House during the initial introduction – it stands as his favorite time in Haiti. On the flip side, he also recalls the dramatic experience of a parent offering her daughter to the group upon finding out who they were because she couldn’t take care of her.  John believes it is a blessing to serve the children and people of Haiti.

North Point Community Church is ready to give, serve and share as much as God offers them the opportunity, with the understanding that they will end up receiving more than they could ever give! They believe that lives and hearts are turning to God through the ministry of Alex’s House and its missionaries and are truly humbled and honored to play a small part of what our Big God is doing in Haiti. As a result of their involvement, God is working in hearts in North Point, too!

North Point currently sponsors 18 of our children and also has a group heading down to Haiti in February. We are so thankful for the partnership between Alex’s House and North Point Community Church and look forward to God continuing to work through this partnership in the future!
